About the artist

My name is Martine Ipperciel, an animal painter known as "Maiel." Born in Montreal in June 1976, I developed a deep passion for wildlife and nature from childhood, where my creativity naturally found its expression.

In 1985, while living in the Hautes-Laurentides, I developed a special connection with animals and wild landscapes, particularly through the world of dog sledding. This intimate connection with nature continues to guide my artistic work today.

My journey began with drawing, before moving on to oil and acrylic painting. Since 1998, I have been exhibiting works in which wild animals and the expression in their eyes play a central role.

Today, I live in the Outaouais region, where I continue to draw inspiration from the nature that surrounds me.

My style, both spontaneous and emotional, seeks to create a bridge between the observer and the animal soul. Through my works, I wish to invite everyone to embark on a sensitive journey into the heart of emotions, beauty, and wild life.
