ABOUT THE ARTIST

My name is Martine Ipperciel, an animal painter known as "Maiel". Born in Montreal in June 1976. From my childhood, my creativity expressed itself through a deep passion for wildlife and nature.

In 1985, while living in the Hautes-Laurentides, she developed a strong connection with animals and wild landscapes, particularly through dog sledding. This intimate connection with nature still guides all my artistic work today.

My journey began with drawing, then I moved towards oil and acrylic painting. Since 1998, I have been exhibiting works where the representation of wild animals and their expressive gazes are at the heart of my approach. Today, I live in the Outaouais region, where I continue to draw my inspiration from the surrounding nature.

My spontaneous and emotional style seeks to create a bridge between the observer and the animal soul, inviting a sensitive journey into the heart of emotions and wild life.
